Ages 5-12 are crucial for a child’s dental development: this is the time they’ll begin to lose their baby teeth, as their full adult set comes in. It’s important to instill good oral hygiene before this time, to ensure your child is properly caring for the teeth they’ll use for the rest of their life!
Tooth Extractions in a Comfortable Office
We perform some extractions in our office, and we may refer you to an oral surgeon in some situations.
Your experience with tooth extractions may only go as far as getting your wisdom teeth removed. But, if you have never gotten a tooth extracted it’s important to know that it is a low-risk procedure that is relatively painless. The recovery process after a tooth extraction is oftentimes very simple.
Once the procedure is completed, your dentist will send you home with instructions to teach you how to properly care for the extraction site in the hours and days following tooth removal. Some patients will have to cover the area with gauze.
